Here are some pics of my trip to Indy this past weekend. It was a great race, a little on the warm side but it turned out nice.

The first pic is of the 19 year old, Marco Andretti's car - he finished second to Sam Hornish, JR. The next two are views from our seats - very nice - great seats...thanks Dad!!! The last one is from the track looking into turn one - I was surprised by how large the grooves were in the pavement of the track - by the end of the race those grooves were full of rubber.

This past weekend I took a little time to try and learn a few golf skills - you see while I was working at True Temper I was lucky enough to get a set of clubs given to me. I have only played a few times and there is a reason for that ...I suck. Although I have not had much success I am going to give it another try and see if I can't improve enough to play a little every now and then. I just hope that I don't suck so bad that andrew won't want to go anymore!!

On another note - the wife and I are headed to Indy this weekend for the Indy 500; should be a fun but long weekend for the both of us. It will be a well deserved vacation for the both of us- too bad it is only for the weekend.

All of us are after it; seems that Tony might have it.

So while we are all crying about the price of gas - can I raise another ridiculous price structure? How about cell phones?? You pay per month to get a crappy amount of minutes and then if you go over they jack you with a $.45/minute charge. This is crazy - not only do they charge you this but they get you in these contracts that you can't break with out a $175 fee - per line.

Want a new phone? Here's your new contrat.

Want to add minutes? Here's your new contract.

Can the cost of the infrastructure really be that high? Especially knowing that almost anyone over the age of 13 has one now. These people are printing money.

So we went to the Grizzlies last playoff game last night, what a joke. It sucks getting beat by 20+ at home in the playoffs - much less to extend your playoff success or lack there of to 12 straight losses. In 12 attempts the Grizzlies have failed to win one stupid game. To add insult to injury - only 15k people showed up and at least 1/3 of those were Dallas fans. By the start of the 4th qtr they gave up - they quit- millions of dollars a year and they won't even play a full game.

A bunch of overpaid sissy's if you ask me.

How to be a Good Bush Republican....What You Need To Believe To Be A Good Bush loving Republican
1. Jesus loves you, and shares your hatredof homosexuals and Hillary Clinton.
2. Saddam was a good guy when Reagan armedhim, a bad guy when Bush's daddy made war on him, a good guy when Cheney did business with him, but ultimately he's the worlds worst tyrant when Bush needed a "we can't find Bin Laden" diversion.
3. Trade with Cuba is wrong because thecountry is Communist, but trade with China and Vietnam is vital to a spirit of "international harmony"...
4. The United States should get out of theUnited Nations, and our highest national priority is enforcing U.N. resolutions against Iraq.
5. A woman can't be trusted with decisionsabout her own body, but multi-national corporations can make decisions affecting all mankind without regulation.
6. The best way to improve military morale is to praise the troops with quality speeches, while slashing veterans' benefits andcombat pay.7. If condoms are kept out of schools, adolescents won't have sex.
8. A good way to fight terrorism is to belittle our long-time allies, then demand their cooperation and money.
9. Providing health care to all Iraqis is sound policy, but providing health care to all Americans is socialism. HMOs and insurance companies have the best interests of the public at heart.
10. Global warming and tobacco's link to cancer are junk science, but creationism should be taught in schools.
11. A president lying about an extramarital affair is a impeachable offense, but a president lying to enlist support for a war in which thousands die is solid defense policy.
12. Government should limit itself to the powers named in the Constitution, which include banning gay marriages and censoring the Internet.
13. The public has a right to know about Hillary's cattle trades, but George Bush's driving record is none of our business.
14. Being a drug addict is a moral failing and a crime, unless you're a conservative radio host. Then it's an illness and you need our prayers for your recovery.
15. Supporting "Executive Privilege" for every Republican ever born, who will be born or who might be born (in perpetuity.)
16. What Bill Clinton did in the 1960s is of vital national interest, but what Bush did in the '80s is irrelevant.
17. Support for hunters who shoot their friends and blame them for wearing orange vests similar to those worn by the quail.

Enjoy
